Level 2 Diploma in Specialist Concrete Occupations

This involves dealing with concrete on site such as concrete repair, sprayed concrete, decorative concrete, concrete drilling and concrete sawing.


Is this course for you?

The aim of this qualification is to recognise the knowledge, skills and competence demonstrated by an individual in the workplace. Completion of one of the pathways provides the opportunity for individuals to demonstrate their competence in specialist concrete occupations.


Course Content

There are 12 optional pathways available to this course depending on your job role. These are:
Concrete Repair
In Situ Flooring – Concrete Finisher
In Situ Flooring – Plant Operator
Background Preparation and Profiling
Sprayed Concrete
Decorative Concrete
Concrete Drilling
Concrete Sawing
Concrete Drilling and Sawing
In Situ Flooring – Screed
In Situ Flooring – Resin
In Situ Flooring - Concrete Layer


Assessment

Once a learner has been enrolled on to the programme, they will be assigned a dedicated assessor with extensive knowledge and experience in your chosen qualification.

This NVQ qualification is delivered by a number of successful methods including:

  • Practical assessment in the work setting
  • Independent coaching and mentoring
  • Evidence gathering
  • Career planning
  • Verbal questioning to demonstrate knowledge
  • Opportunities to access group training

Duration

This course can be completed within 3 to 5 months and contains assessments carried out in the workplace.

This qualification allows the operative to gain their NVQ Level 2 Diploma which will enable them to apply for their blue skilled workers card (CSCS card).
